LiveGO – all in one

LiveGo Aggrigator

'all in one'

Although there are a few communications aggrigators out there, like Threadsy and Fuser, I am going to look at this one first. Why? Because, thats why.

LiveGO state:

Today, LiveGO is an all-in-one solution enabling Internet users to stay connected to their social networks as Facebook and Twitter accounts, InstantMessengers as MSN Messenger, Yahoo and Gtalk, and email accounts as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo!. LiveGO provides an all-in-one place for one’s social needs and aims to empower its user base with advanced social tools which will organize and simplify their online activities.

Ok Lets take a look, easy to log in no seperate login info like Meebo, just use one of your existing accounts…

easy as 1, 2 ....

and it takes you through to the main screen, whee you can add other info from different accounts.

add more accounts

pitfall number one...

oh dear… it seems like no matter how I try, it doesn’t like Facebook. It took a good fiew tries to manage to add Twitter as well. I know in Vietnam the connections to FB are ‘kind of’ blocked (ie removed from the ISP’s DNS), but even bypassing this, I could not add facebook using any of the main browsers. Despite this I added my other IM and mail accounts, and it does have a nice interface, as shown below

unfortunatly, there are some major drawbacks, besides the Facebook problem, the main one being you can only add one account of each type of provider..? To aggrigate is to ‘combine and form a complete collection or mass” , it is not very complete if it does not allow for multiple accounts. Also I can find no way to all standard IMAP or POP3 mail accounts to the interface. So, although it may be nice to look at, I think it only deserves a 6/10 until the functionality is improved.
